MONTAIGNE LIBRARY ,
named after michel de montaigne, who was a great influential writer of the french renaissance and popularized the essay as a literary genre. the students often thank him under their breath for the countless of essays they write within the library's halls.
two stories tall and stacked from floor to ceiling with a tightly packed collection of books, the montaigne library has been a beloved treasure of the academy for years.
the academy tends to believe scholarly work is done amidst the mahogany walls and stone floors. but with gentle whispers, and a soft glow from the low-lit lamps above - it becomes difficult to tend to anything scholarly.
