this is caden baynhamAnd Caden is just the type to set up a garden chair in a park (because, apparently, the benches weren't good enough for him), in the middle of a walkway, and look at you like you're the misplaced one. He's originally from Gwynedd in the north of Wales, and enjoyed a rather idyllic and peaceful childhood in a cottage outside a small-town with his recluse parents. Things were going quite well until Caden's father drowned when Caden was thirteen, and two years later, his mother decided to move the family to Paris. Caden had his first meeting with the lovely Académie d'Ouvrard, and it's safe to say that neither Caden nor the Academy enjoyed the meeting very much. After finishing his lower schooling, he decided that he was done, and got a job playing the piano at nights at a Parisian piano bar, where he still works. However, dividing his time between family and this awfully repetitive work became too dull after a while, and so he decided to bite the bullet and return to school for upper schooling - and isn't boredom as good an excuse as any to pursue higher education? At least Caden thinks so, and so he finds himself here, and has been playing the upper schooling game for about a year, now. One thing you need to know, and that will probably become frightfully obvious, when dealing with Caden is that he does not care. Not about you or your new slippers - and no, he does not want to know where you bought them - or the fact that the yoghurt he took from the fridge was actually yours, not his. He's more than a little apathetic, but defiant even so, extremely upfront about opinions and thoughts, assumes a cynical opinion about most things, and will gladly inform you that while your love of unicorns might be riveting information to some, your voice is making it difficult for him to enjoy your face. Some of the only things he cares about in life are his family and the piano, and potentially a few very close friends that he's sorted into his "cares for" pile. So, what does he need? Everything! Anything you're willing to throw at him, I'm prepared to catch! He'll no doubt need a few friends; people who are willing to put up with him for whatever reason, and either don't mind that his behaviour borders on lazy at times, or are willing to make the effort to actually get him to care about something. If they're in the latter category, he might be slightly irritated with them, at times. Enemies are always good, too; He's no doubt angered more than a few people, since he's not exactly Joe Pleasant, and though he's usually too indifferent to feel strong animosity towards someone, it can happen! And if not, there's always your garden variety irritation, and plenty of it! Then there's love, and I wish anyone who might want to try lots of luck in getting Caden to care that much about them, and I wish Caden luck in getting anyone to put up with his ass enough to love him back! Still, anything's possible with time and effort (or accidental development, you never know), so if you have any ideas, have at it! Basically, Caden is up for anything. Well, actually, Caden's sighing and asking if this is really necessary, but I'm up for anything, and would love some plot suggestions from you lovely people, if you have any!

-pokes head around corner- Oh, neighbour! Hai! I have way too many characters and am going to whore them all on you. Or try. I have a feeling some won't work with Caden at all.
Like LIAM COLE. Yeah, he finds meaning in falling leaves. Moving on.
ADÈLE BOUCHARD would like to know what's wrong with sitting on a park bench or the ground. Unless they were poisoned or there was a bomb! Is Caden a terrorist? He's a hot terrorist and she would be sad if he decided to become a suicide bomber because that would screw up his lovely face. He should be a model instead! Models don't have to smile much and he doesn't smile much so she thinks this would be the perfect career choice. I have a feeling she would annoy the socks off him.
NOAH DAVIS thinks very similarly to Adèle about the whole bench thing but doesn't think Caden is hot. Well, he guesses Caden could be hot but he's not into that. Alternately he thinks sitting on a chair directly beside a bench would be an amazing prank. Noah's a big kid and dork (if that wasn't already apparent). His younger sister has down's syndrome and he cannot stand people who look down on others for no reason. He'd be nice to Caden and consider him a friend if their paths ever crossed because that's just what Noah does.
Then I have KAELYNN HAWTHORNE who has several strong opinions about Caden - none of which I think he would care to hear. She'd tell him anyway, though, because she can. Her family is still in Uganda and she hates the fact that she's living in France. She feels like she sticks out like a sore thumb and can't quite get her mind to shift from how things were in Africa to how people live in a westernized society. She tends to mutter under her breath when people annoy her and not realize that they could hear her. As a result she doesn't really endear herself to too many.
(are you at the point where it's like, 'Melinda, you need help!' ? Because I have three more).
AINSLEY HARRIS likely wouldn't interact much with him so we will skip her.
EMMA SCOTT has a wealth of issues (but really, which of my characters don't?) If the opportunity came up she'd sleep with him. I dunno. I think these two would either get along really well or hate each other with not much space in between to experiment. We can always discuss later. You know where I live.
And last, but definitely not least, ETHAN RICHARDSON. We already know they'll be amazing friends. Sitting in the park contemplating the demise of youth and the world. Their poor roommates.

Oh, neighbour! Hi there, how are you? Let's take a look at these characters of yours, shall we? Caden is just at the edge of his seat here, riveted and excited about the prospect of plotting! -Caden reclines in seat and quirks brow- ...disregard the truth. We don't need it.
CADEN & ADÈLE: OH Adèle, how I adore her... Caden, however, does not. I think you're right, and I actually think he's already lost his socks, and would like to stick his head into them in hopes that this would confuse her enough to make her go away. In good news! He's not indifferent. He's much too irritated to be indifferent. And would like to respond that yes. Yes, he is a terrorist, and he intends to make her his first victim, so run away, little girl, run away! I'm frightfully amused, because Caden isn't! XD
CADEN & NOAH: I've decided that I love Noah, too, after reading his app! Caden isn't sure what he thinks of him, but definitely has no idea why this would be such a great prank. He doesn't really get pranks - bless his poor heart - but he might find Noah fractionally more interesting if he learned that he's musically gifted! But I picture him trying to alter Noah's behaviour towards him if he was friendly right away, sort of a "how many insults does it take" testing of the new waters, since...well, it's likely he'd find Noah quite irritating, too XD GOSH, he's pleasant.
CADEN & KAELYNN: You know, I'd be delighted for Kaelynn to express every opinion she has of him! To his face! He might respect her a bit (or a bit more than a bit) for speaking her mind like that, but, of course, never express his respect, but be more than happy to extend all kinds of snide commentary to her! =D Why do I have a feeling that they'd just sit around exchanging insults like it was going out of style?
(MELINDA, YOU NEED - nah, I'm just kidding =P)
CADEN & EMMA: Get along, hate, and maybe even some jumping back and forth according to situation? XD If the opportunity came up, he'd sleep with her, too! Anticipating that this would be all there was to it, and that post-hook-up, they could easily return to...erm...getting along or hating, whichever they're doing! We should definitely discuss them more on AIM! I've got your address, I know what closet you live in!
CADEN & ETHAN: Affirmative, captain! Rays of sunshine that they are, they'll spread joy and good will to everyone they pass! Speaking of pass, there'll be passing of the flask - I actually think the alcohol is all that will spread between the two of them... But that's how it is in wonderful friendships!
AINSLEY + LIAM: Okay, so there's not much to say, but I felt bad leaving them out...

Aww, miss Myja, she's delightfully quirky! And the fact that she is so quirky might cause him to sport a faint fascination, a kind of interest that surfaces when she's in his presence, and that fades away when she's not. He wouldn't sit around pondering her existence or history or anything, but in the here and now, be mildly fascination with her person, and just the way she is. I could picture him, if she rambled to him a bit, following whatever she'd just said with "...well, aren't you strange?" Yeah, he's charming like that, but it's not necessarily meant in a bad way. More in a "Well, you're not entirely uninteresting" way, which is quite strong for him! XD A too large dose of her might make him crave the silence again, but in general, when she turned up, I think he'd get a feeling of "Oh. I wonder what she'll do now." and wait for whatever followed, whether it was rambling, singing, dancing or inappropriate laughing, or anything, really! He'd enjoy her strangeness, though probably while sitting or leaning against a wall and watching, instead of actively participating.

hi there c: so, i have brett here. who is a bit like caden. she's kinda apathetic to most things and only does things that serve a purpose to her, and her alone. she's fun. crazy & lives only in the now. her app is here & she has a wanted ad up too somewhere. anyway! i was thinking, it might be interesting if we could have these two mingle. he's older, but she'd definitely like that. to toss a few ideas around - he could have seen around at a bar & hit on her. they then proceed to get terribly smashed & actually start opening up to one another, since they're so similar. whambam, they do the vertical tango & the next morning, she's gone. only, they run into one another & it always turns into this big thing. either they're fighting like wolves or hooking up like bunnies (x i can see a topsy-turvy, emotionally charged and almost violent relationship for these two since they're so...similar and yet... idk! that's an idea. let me know what you think? xx

Hey Sloane! I think you might be on to something, here. It'd definitely be fun to have them interact, even if he is quite a bit older than her - something he might not realize at first. But then, in the aftermath, he's so apathetic that...as long as he's not breaking any laws that might get him in dull situations, he'd be fine with it... (And the age of consent is 15 in France - hands up everyone who thinks it's weird that I know this!) I like your idea, it sounds like loads of fun! Stirring him out of apathy is needed, and since they would have had their sharing moment, he might feel somewhat exposed, and since they're similar (and yet different!), reactions would follow! (GASP!) He doesn't like reacting, so I anticipate a lot of frustration XD I like it, even if he doesn't!

awesomeeeee! it's odd that you know that fancy little tidbit of consent laws in france, but still useful, heh
wanna thread? (; cause, i was thinking. we could start them off in the middle of some drunken night. they run into one another and end up at his place or whatever. things start getting hot before they get ugly? they could argue, etc. start throwing out insults relating to their often unspoken of pasts. loaded words from frustrated, heavy-beating hearts. hot & bothered. it sounds like it might work, yes? you start? or should i?

It's just one of those random facts I know that weirds everyone out! =P Threading sounds gooood! That sounds like it would work very well, and I'd love you forever if you'd start it!

I'll admit, I have been extraordinarily lazy/busy of late. But I'm finally attacking Caden with Ewan as I have been meaning to. I could see them possibly being unlikely friends in a sense. Ewan quite likes for people to not pay attention to him or ask questions. Something tell me that Caden really wouldn't give a flip either way, which Ewan would actually appreciate. He's also rather jaded and can be quite cynical when he wishes to be. So... it's up to you but I think they would get along fairly well. They could just sit in silence together... or perhaps find something or other to complain about in other moments.
Aaaaaaaaand because I'm tired and lazy, if you have thoughts for him and Callum (they might be interesting....?) let me know! You have my AIM... though I've been on much less with uni and work, which will continue to be so, sadly. I'll be around some, though.
