this is callum lamontagne Callum is wearing an odd hat, and I'm sure he appreciates his hat very much. To summarize Callum's life so far, I'll use bullet points, or else I'll ramble, and this will never end.
• Son of a mathematician and a composer, he's got an analytical mind, and plays the cello - the latter is a hobby not to be put much stock in. • He was born in England, but his family moved State-side when he was seven, to New York city. • He has a twin brother and seven younger siblings. The house was full, to put it that way. • When he discovered dating in high school, he discovered a lot of it; his first girlfriend was a bad influence who convinced him that multiple relationships is a good idea - because how can you put a one-person limit on love, huh? - and he embraced it fully. • He graduated with honors, and declined every college offer he got, instead opting, on a whim, to travel for two years and five months, back-packing around Europe and Asia. He pretty much spent his trust fund on that. • He returned, started re-building relationships with his family, working in an autoshop, but soon felt crowded and uncomfortable with staying put, so he started going on minor expedition in and around New York. • He met a boy in the Bronx named Caliban, a veeery troubled boy with a heart of gold, and fell completely in love. Mind you, he didn't end things with his two other special someone's - he makes wise decisions like that. • At twenty-one, he was feeling restless, until a group of friends invited him along on a trip to France. He went, he found Saint-Michel, he fell in love with the place, and decided he wanted to go to the Academy, so he rushed home to get the paperwork in order. • He was accepted, and, out of love, decided to leave his others and be with Caliban for the remainder of his time in the Big Apple, but only ended up hurting him, rather than making the most of their time together, so he ended up ending the relationship a week before he left, and spent the rest of his time at home, with family.
Now onto the person! Callum is calm. No, really, he is! He'll sit with a stoic expression, nod gravely at what you're telling him, observe with quiet fascination, and hold his tongue until he has an overview of the situation, but suddenly - very suddenly - turns around. He's mellow and unflappable, but rather eclectic and random, with sudden bursts of creativity and energy that usually result in absurd behaviour and general climbing of things (he likes climbing things). He's a bit too curious and adventurous for his own good, and wants to experience everything, leaving nothing out, even the negative. He's flirtatious, and I suppose he's charming, though that depends on who he's talking to, and whether or not they think he's charming. He's rather analytical, too, and has an obsession with knowing; his field of choice (and adoration) is engineering, and he does, in fact, obsess over it, to the extent that, if he has a problem he can't solve, he stays up and barely eats unless reminded (or ordered), and his stress triggers bouts of transient insomnia. Outside of this, he's very mellow, laid-back, goes with the flow, likes to see where life takes him, adores the absurd, loves life, and loves most people (even the most negative qualities can be attractive, to him), but likes pushing buttons, just to see what the reaction is. He's been rather reckless in most aspects of his life, but is trying to be more careful romantically; he broke the heart of someone he loved, and feels the need to avoid this in the future.
SO, what does he need? Pretty much everything, since he's brand-spankin'-new. Some friends would be appreciated; Callum is a people-person and a social being, and likes to have a large social circle. Some will be closer than others, though, and he'd only have a few very close friends. He enjoys most personalities, but I have no doubt that not all personality types will care for him. Which brings me to enemies! I like these, and I'm sure he's done a million things to tick people off, intentionally or unintentionally! And some people might even tick him off; he might, for instance, find a cynical, lacklustre person to be a bit of a stick-in-the-mud, but they might amuse him a bit, and he'd very much like to poke uptight people, if you have them! Then there's romance, which is easy and difficult. He flirts a lot, and develops infatuations easily, but tries to keep his romantic relationships at the more casual, fun kind - and he entertains several at the same time. Surprisingly, he's not that fond of random hook-ups/one-nighters, though he might, on occasion, indulge in one or two. This would be veeeery rare, though, and he's more likely to just flirt around with people.
So that's him! I'm up for pretty much anything you can throw at me, and so is Callum! Sidenote: He enjoys fun. If you have fun for him, he'll love you.

Birthe! As promised, here I am to deliver attackage...
Alexia and Callum need to be plootted, I think, especially considering she's destined to fall for his younger brother someday. -cough- Perhaps she could meet Francis through Callum? Maybe? Regardless, I think they would be fun together. She would enjoy his anventurousness and desire to understand the world around him. She would learn from him, I think... or try to. She would like to accompany him on adventures, if permitted, and enjoy the world alongside of him. She would find his dislike and avoidance of monogamy intriguing, if nothing else. It might potentially make her more open to any sort of... romantic interactions, if he happened to be so inclined. She wouldn't worry that he would feel devastated, should anything happen to her, nor would she be concerned that her self-sufficient nature would offend him. (Whether or not that is so, you'll have to tell me... but I think her worries would be less). So there's that if he would be interested... Otherwise, friends? I think they would get along wonderfully.
Lucas, who usually glares at me for posting in these things with him, is actually quite intrigued by Callum. (OHMYGOSH, does this mean he's not just a bump on a log after all!?) I think, in subtle ways, he would see bits of his twin, Luis (who passed on a few years before) in Callum. Though different in many ways, he does bear some similarities to Lou. And Lucas has a brother named Callum! Which is... honestly irreleveant, but I felt like pointing it out. They both come from large families, have (or had, in Luc's case) a twin... I think they would have plenty to relate to one another on, if you're interested. It's a rare thing for Lucas, so I had to at least toss the idea out there.
Julianna wouldn't know what to make of him and I doubt someone like him would want to interact with someone as pathetic as her...
Neil wants to protect his baby and his appliances. He feels very overprotective right now. I think he'd be polite, but wary (why, I'm not entirely sure, but he's odd...) and they might possibly strike up some sort of aquaintanceship/hesitant friendship at som point? Neil was adventurous once too! I think Callum would make him feel like an old man, even though he is technically younger.
That's it for now. I need to app all of my others so I can plot them with you also!

YAY ATTACKAGE! I am so happy. You've made me so happy, Katja! =D
ALEXIA: Callum DEMANDS that Alexia comes along for adventures, actually. He would adore her, no lie, and gladly introduce her to his brother! He enjoys introducing the little runt to great people. (Yes, the little runt. Watch him ruffle his hair. Poor, poor Francis.) He would ceeertainly be attracted to her (and probably have no qualms about informing her of this, almost casually, face-to-face, easy-peasy, nothin' to it!), would genuinely enjoy her self-sufficient nature, and would be so inclined, but if there was something between her and his brother, he wouldn't want to get in the way of that. Despite what his Francis might think - because Callum gladly makes him think so - he wouldn't want to completely salt his game, because he does care for the little guy. (Yes. Little guy. More hair ruffling.) He'd flirt, though, a lot, especially if he was blissfully unaware of anything that might be going on there. Potentially try to set the two of them up, if he knew, potentially try to set himself up with her, if he didn't =P So it depends on what he knows or doesn't know, really!
LUCAS: He has an even bigger family than Callum! Callum is not jealous. [Lots of love for the pack of brats at home, and all that, but there's so much waiting for the shower!] They would have a lot to relate to one another, and Callum would most certainly be interested in doing so! He'd feel queasy at the thought of losing his twin, brought on by what happened to Lou, which might result in almost brotherly and protective feelings for Lucas. He'd try his darndest to be a bit of a bad influence on him (though he would call it a good influence, as he'd only want him to experience the world like he does!), but I can picture him being very interested in just sitting and chatting with him about...life in general. He's very curious about the people he meets, especially if he comes to care about them, and since I think he would care about Luc, he'd be very curious about his life, experiences and opinions.
JULIANNA: Callum has a bit of a fondness for the quiet, troubled and insecure, actually! (His ex was rather a lot like that XD) So he'd probably find her rather fascinating, and undeniably sweet. He wouldn't force his presence on her, though - not for longer periods of time - but his curiosity would lead him to attempt to strike up conversation with her from time to time, and be friendly with her, in hopes that she might want to give him a glimpse of her person.
NEIL: Callum would like to say that he has an exceptionally cute baby, and promises to keep his sudden bursts of lively behaviour at a safe distance from her! In a very strange twist, Neil might leave Callum slightly unsure about how to act. I mean, he's so young, but in a situation that most young men don't find themselves in. He'd respect him for caring for his daughter and loving her, and have no idea how to behave around a dad, so he'd be careful, more careful than he usually is. Hesitant friendship sounds cooool, since Callum would be making his tentative approach, wanting to see more of Neil's life - it's not one he's used to seeing a lot of, so it would hold interest! - and finding him to be an all-round decent guy. (If he starts using the term 'stand-up guy', he'll be very disappointed in himself. There has to be a more inventive description XD)
WOO, I like this attacking business XD

Cas and Callum... flirting and Callum being brave enough to try Caspian's door? I think so. He shall get a shiny gold coin for his efforts. And then with the general liking quite a lot from Caspian and drink buying from Callum, followed by stealing apples.
Excellent.
And well... you know Phin might turn up. So there will be plotting abound. Callum can't be without his Twineas

YAY for plotting - and I have to point out that Callum is so very lonely without his Twineas. And would also like to ask Cas a lot of questions. A lot.

Alexia & Callum Considering the fact that Alexia likely won't meet Francis for a while, I don't know that it would be a problem. And, even so, little miss hesitant would take a lot of convining in the love arena under normal circumstances. He might fluster her just a bit, especially if he announced his attraction so plainly, but she wouldn't let it get to her. She would very much enjoy their adventures. I think they would have a very easygoing little frienship.
Lucas & Callum Although Luc is typically very quiet and avoids talking about himself at all costs, I could see the similarities between Callum and Luis leading him to open up a bit eventually. Who knows, he might even give in to a few lighthearted pursuits. Maybe. I think perhaps they might have a brotherly sort of friendship?
Julianna & Callum Quiet, troubled, and insecure... this is a good description of of Juli. She would be very uncertain of him, though alternately very curious. If he seemed too interested in learning about her, though, she would undoubtably try to push him away. She is too guilt-ridden and insecure to even entertain the thought of trusting someone with her secrets. How inconsiderate that would be, after all! She would be wary, maybe a bit intimidated or frightened, but they could potentially do alright if he wouldn't be offended at her quiet, reserved nature and tendency to pull away.
Neil & Callum If Callum acted hesitant, Neil would most likely take it as discomfort or disapproval with the fact that he was a father at such a young age. This might mess with him a bit, make him question his decisions and such. After some thought, he might even tell Callum flat-out that he didn't regret keeping Peyton. He would try not to be self-conscious about this, but,, as I said, he might question himself a bit.

ALEXIA: I agree on easygoing friendship! He would find it positively endearing if he got her flustered, too, which would really just make him care for her more. They'll be fun and mellow, methinks!
LUCAS: GASP! Giving in! XD I agree here, too; I'm picturing a brotherly friendship, with a little bit of opening up! Callum has a bit of a problem being truly sincere, sometimes, so that might work both ways - but he'd probably be more interested in hearing from Luc than in talking about himself.
JULIANNA: He wouldn't be offended, but might be more curious about her XD And a bit more careful, since he wouldn't want to scare her off. XD That would get him nowhere near getting to sort-of know her!
NEIL: Hahahaha, I love that. If he told him that he didn't regret it, Callum would be surprised to realize that he'd made him think he disapproved. Which would probably amuse him a bit, actually, and put him a bit more at ease and make him be more upfront about the fact that he respects him for staying with his kid. He might buy her a stuffed animal to make up for making him think that he disapproved XD
