The houses of Académie d'Ouvrard can be traced back to the moment the school first opened its doors. Their purpose was simple: to connect students with a staff member who could assist and mentor them throughout their studies. As the student body grew in numbers and times changed, so did the houses. They now serve as a support mechanism for students - a instantaneous community for those who are new to the school. Each student's application is reviewed by a panel of alumni who then designate them to their respective houses based on characteristics and interests they have indicated. While membership to a house is mandatory, involvement is entirely up to individual students. Some choose to be active participants, organizing events and attending socials, while others are merely a name on a list.
*** NOTE - members are welcome to organize events for their houses. Please PM the HEADMASTER account for approval ***
The Intellectual. This group is forever seeking answers and searching for new ways to challenge themselves. They value justice and fairness, respecting those who achieve results through hard work and perserverance. While they can often come across as "pushy" it is only because they want the best for those they care about and hope to motivate them.
Community Oriented. With strong ties to both family and friends, this group tends to place others before themselves. They are loyal to a fault, holding onto both people and memories that may be detrimental to them. There is an intensity to everything they do and they are often characterized as "emotional".
Adventure-Seeker. Perhaps the most misunderstood house, members of this group prefer to live life on the edge and find their purpose in new challenges. They tend to possess quick-wits and are able to talk themselves out of most situations. The Dreamer. It doesn't take much to bring joy to members of this house - they find and appreciate beauty in simple things. While some view them as aimless, nothing is further from the truth. They dream big and see the world differently from others.
